Nashville skyline

Summer has come and gone in Victoria and so has Q3! It sure was a busy quarter here at Helm, but we still managed to get out and enjoy the sunshine too. These past few months we worked hard on adding new companies, launching two new releases, and planning an awesome Helm Conference for you, our users! Nashville, here we come!

Welcome Aboard!

During this past quarter we added 71 assets on Helm CONNECT from 18 new companies across Europe and the United States. They include:

  • Group Sousa from Portugal
  • BHF Fishco LLC from Massachusetts
  • Imperial River Transport from Pennsylvania
  • Seattle Fire from Washington
  • Maritime Craft Services Ltd from the United Kingdom
  • Gore Marine from Georgia
  • Green Marine from the United Kingdom
  • Smith Maritime from Florida

and many more. Welcome aboard everyone!

We are proud to say that this year alone we have now welcomed over 50 new companies to the Helm CONNECT family, putting us at 196 companies using a total of 4176 assets.

Helm Conference

Helm Conference is only one week away! Last quarter the whole company worked together to plan the best event possible, and we are so excited to share it with you in the Music City. So what can you expect? You’ll join thought leaders, industry pioneers, peers, and technology experts for three days of high-energy learning, inspiration, and fun. The conference will kick off with a full day of hands-on advanced Helm CONNECT training designed to grow your knowledge of the platform and improve ROI for your company, followed by Helm Happy Hour at the hotel bar. Days two and three will be packed with presentations by our staff as well as our amazing sponsors:

We are thrilled to have these companies at the conference, and we hope you are too! They have some amazing presentations prepared on a variety of topics, so there will be something interesting for everyone to listen to. For a closer look at this year’s content, check out this blog post.

That’s not all though. On Tuesday night we’re headed to City Tap House for a southern feast. Kick back and relax on the private rooftop patio and take in some live music, cold drink in hand, while a delicious dinner is served up. Catch up with friends and play some giant-sized games while you’re at it too! And we may even have a surprise or two that we think will make a splash…

Have you secured your spot yet? If not you’re missing out. Ticket sales will close Thursday, October 3rd, so this is your last chance to register. Head to helmconference.com to get your tickets now before it’s too late!

Helm CONNECT Releases

This quarter we launched two Helm CONNECT releases – 1.15 and 1.16. Helm CONNECT 1.15 was all about Personnel since the product is officially a year old. Happy first birthday, Personnel! Highlights from this release include planning crew schedules, forecasting payroll, and recording crew utilization, but you can check out all the details on our release blog.

Helm CONNECT 1.16 just launched this month with numerous improvements and fixes suggested by our customers. These include improved audit workflows, advanced artificial intelligence integrations, and giving crew dispatchers information at their fingertips. For more information on all these changes, read the release blog.

What’s Next?

That’s a wrap on Q3! For the last quarter of the year we have a few big things planned. Helm Conference will finally be here, we’ll be exhibiting at the International WorkBoat Show in New Orleans, and we’ll be launching Helm CONNECT 1.17, our biggest release of the year. We’re excited to announce that we’ll be bringing you a powerful new feature in this release called Maintenance by Metric, which will allow you to trigger your maintenance routines with any cumulative reading, whether that’s running hours, fuel burn, number of tows, or any other metric you choose. Until next quarter!
