About Nolan
Nolan Barclay, our resident lifelong learner with a penchant for adventure and a knack for keeping the office energized! Fueled by a love for the great outdoors, you’ll often find him swapping his desk chair for a bike, zipping through the city streets to maintain that perfect balance of productivity and playfulness. Beware though, their kryptonite? A weakness for coffee and chocolate that’s as strong as his commitment to learning and staying active!
About James
James is a Florida boy who spent some years in Tokyo running marketing, communications, and doing executive sales for our parent company, ClassNK. NK didn’t want to let him go, but we all asked really nicely and so he said he’d stick around. Our resident Hipster Emeritus, James’s knowledge of obscure punk rock subculture is outstripped only by his deep-seated love for Miami Bass, Dancehall, Afrobeat and Roller Boogie. Don’t worry, we don’t know what any of that stuff is either, but we try not to hold it against him.
About Rob
RPJ leads the Professional Services department; whether you’re looking for in-depth product training or an integration between Helm CONNECT and a third-party software, he’s got you covered. Less known about RPJ: he speaks Japanese fluently and is probably the only Helmer with an IMDB profile.
About Matt
No one knows much about Matt other than he claims to be from Sidney, BC, and that he likes to program. So we called some of his fellow students from high school, and this is what they had to say about him: Rebecca Notreal: “I’d never met a guy with a pet raccoon before”. Franklin Pantsonfire: “He really opened my eyes to the poetry of Mime.” Dave Untruthy: “He said he was building a time machine in his basement. But the Freires don’t have a basement.” All we know if that Matt’s a great guy to have on the Helm team and we’re happy to have him, raccoon, and all.
About Khushi
Meet Khushi, the maestro of our People & Culture and IT team—quite the dynamic duo! From cactus killer to the proud parent of 40+ thriving plants, she’s truly blossomed into a green-thumb extraordinaire. Watch out, Mother Nature, Khushi’s on a roll!
About Jonathan
Jonathan leads our Marketing and BD departments, and also produces Helm Conference! He wants you to take him seriously, but he also has a wiener dog named Mr. Fats, so there’s that.
About Marco
Born in Munich, Germany, Marco claims to own a pair of real lederhosen, though we have yet actually see them. After a few years in his family’s pizza business, he graduated from the Computer Information Technology program, and now he’s having a great time working as our very own Director of Customer Success.
About Haider
Burgers and spreadsheets, what a wonderful pair. The love for one can’t be defined. The appetite for the other can’t be denied. Growing up in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, didn’t offer an opportunity for either craving to be satisfied. Thus began a voyage of discovery that located an unlimited supply for both, in Victoria. The bonus of mild weather and beautiful ocean views were the icing on the cake.
About Mike
Mike is the Director of IT Services & Senior Consultant at Helm. The fact that he has lived in many places in the world has given him the opportunity to communicate with peoples of many cultures. His unique experiences shape the vision we have for supporting our customers. Next time you talk to Mike, ask him about some of the places he has lived but be warned that after the conversation, you may experience a sudden need to vacation, or have a vaccination shot.
About Tina
Tina’s job title is “Controller,: which is about as metal as it sounds. As the Accounting Team Lead she’s the one to talk to for any and all things money around here. Be careful what you say though, she’s currently testing for her Black Belt. Did we mention she’s pretty metal?
