What's New in Helm CONNECT 1.35?

Helm CONNECT 1.35 is here, and the big news for our Maintenance customers is component groups — a new way to cut down on duplicate templates and keep your setup leaner. We've also made meaningful updates across our Compliance, Logistics, and Personnel product lines. Here's a look at what's new.

What's New in Helm CONNECT Maintenance?

If you manage a long list of maintenance templates, you know how quickly things can get out of hand when the same maintenance applies to multiple components. Component groups solve that. You create a group, add the relevant components to it, and assign the group to a single template — and that template automatically applies to every component in the group. No more copying the same template over and over just to cover variations of the same equipment.

We also added the ability to configure default values for tasks and attached asset tasks, and for teams that need an extra layer of accountability, you can now require approval before a task can be closed.

What's New in Helm CONNECT Compliance?

You can now nest your document folders up to 10 levels deep — up from the previous limit of 3. We also improved the drag-and-drop experience on the Document Folders tab and made several updates to the Library (Beta) tab to help you navigate deeper folder structures, including expand and collapse icons, a new Change View button, and a resizable sidebar. We also added the ability to configure default values for the Assign To and Show In fields on corrective actions, the same way you can now do for tasks in Maintenance.

What's New in Helm CONNECT Logistics?

This release adds some significant new capabilities for Logistics customers. You can now pause and resume voyages when work is temporarily interrupted, and organize multi-voyage work using the new orders and legs structure — including a new Quote Status field to track whether an order is a quote, won, or lost. We also added the ability to log pressure and temperature readings for liquid cargo and fluids on both primary and attached assets.

What's New in Helm CONNECT Personnel?

We made several updates to the Crew Certifications module: certification details now open in a read-only view by default to prevent accidental edits, and a new Change Log panel lets you see the full history of changes for any certification. In the Crew Scheduling module, we added an Asset Group filter and new crew list filters for division and time off.

Have Something to Say? Now There's a Button for That.

We heard you loud and clear at Helm Conference 2025 — you wanted an easier way for your crew to report issues and share ideas without hunting down an administrator or firing off a separate email. So we built one. A new Submit Feedback option on the Help menu lets your users capture feedback in the moment and automatically emails it to whoever your organization designates to receive it. Consider it a direct line from your crew to the people who can actually do something about it.

These are just some of the highlights in Helm CONNECT 1.35. For all the details, be sure to read the full release notes, and don't forget to subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date with the latest Helm news.
