Your Story Belongs on Our Stage

Helm Conference 2026 Call for Papers Is Now Open

Every year at Helm Conference, something happens that you can’t replicate in a product demo or a webinar. The people actually doing the work — the fleet managers, the dispatchers, the safety officers, the operations leads — get in a room together and start talking. And what comes out of those conversations is genuinely useful in a way that’s hard to manufacture.

That’s why the Call for Papers matters. It’s our invitation to you: get up on stage and share what you know.

We want to hear from the people in the trenches.

Maybe you’ve cracked a crew scheduling problem that was costing you hours every week. Maybe you’ve led a digital transformation at your company and lived to tell the tale. Maybe you’ve hit a wall, figured out how to get over it, and have hard-won lessons that would save someone else months of frustration.

That’s exactly the kind of session our attendees show up for. Not polished, not theoretical, but real and authentic. Submit a case study, a bold idea, or an honest look at a challenge you’ve navigated, and let’s grow together.

Selected presenters receive a complimentary conference registration.

The Details

  • Conference dates: October 20–22, 2026

  • Location: Fairmont Empress, Victoria, BC

Why present at Helm Conference?

Beyond the complimentary registration, presenting at Helm Conference puts you in front of a room full of maritime operations professionals who are dealing with the same pressures you are. The conversations that happen after a great session — in the hallway, over lunch, at the evening reception — are often as valuable as the session itself.

It’s also just a good way to reflect on what you’ve built. Putting a case study together forces you to articulate what actually worked, what didn’t, and why. That’s useful for your team as much as it is for your audience.

At the end of the day, you get to shine, the industry gets to learn, and Helm Conference gets to grow – sounds pretty good to us!
